DolFUN SWIM Academy now offers classes in Vancouver

Spring is here and that means it’s time to get ready for summer with swimming lessons.
To help make your summer water experiences safe, fun and joyful – and after numerous requests – DolFUN SWIM Academy recently added a third location at Cascade Athletic Clubs in Fishers Landing,16096 SE 15th St., Vancouver.
The Vancouver location joins already successful DolFUN training sites in Portland and Tualatin. Registration is open now for summer sessions.
“We decided to add a location in the Vancouver/Camas area to accommodate our customers who already travel to Portland for lessons, and for others who can’t come that far,” said owner-founder Debbie Marrs Sayers.
The academy is internationally renowned for incorporating leading-edge techniques and holistic approaches starting with children as young as 2 months old and continuing through the intermediate level, including adults.
“It is never too earlier to give the gift of life with swimming lessons,” Sayers said. Even prenatal aqua yoga classes are available at DolFUN SWIM Academy.
Sayers started in the swim school business in 1994 in Southwest Portland because of her concern about children’s safety around water.
“In America, drowning is the leading cause of injury or death in children under 5. For every drowning death, many more children are left with permanent brain damage,” she said. In fact, Sayers noted that Oregon and Washington consistently rank in the top 10 states with the highest drowning rates.
DolFUN SWIM’s unique aquatic developmental program incorporates songs and games  to reinforce new skills and swimmers learn to focus on mastering the water’s natural forces, so they experience the ultimate well-being in warm water – 88-92 degrees – which supports a reassuring learning environment.
One of the nation’s leading “birth and beyond” swim schools, DolFun SWIM Academy’s expert team creates a safe, fun and joyful water experience with Sayers at the helm.
Sayers, who holds a bachelor of science degree from Oregon State University, is a sought-after swim teacher and educator who sits on the U.S. Swim School Association’s Infant-Toddler Committee and has presented her unique methods at conferences in the United States, British Columbia, New Zealand, Fiji and Jamaica.
